Finished!
(back dated post)
I defended my dissertation on March 13 and the final copy is available online. All went well, but still can't believe it's "done"! Thanks again to the school districts and teachers who took the survey... and I'll be posting some data/findings here eventually as well.

Defending Soon... Final Results Following!
With less than a week to go, I am busy piecing together my presentation/defense for my dissertation. Lots of data and results to share... Once the defense is over (and hopefully goes well!), I'll be finalizing the data for each school district as well--to provide a more "reader-friendly" version that compares each districts' teacher data in a combined, anonymous fashion, which will be shared with schools and the participating teachers (who asked to receive the summary findings).
Don't want to give anything away at this point other than what I've already listed. More coming within the next few weeks!
Thanks again for your interest and your support!

Some Interesting Findings So Far
Although I'm still sorting out the fine details of what it all means, there are some initial indications that significant differences (p=<.05) in Total Teacher Leadership Practices Score AND Overall Technology Integration scores do exist for the following groups/criteria (some more surprising than others)...
(In all cases, more = higher scores)
- # Computers in the Teacher's Classroom
- Voluntary Professional Development participation
- Hours on Computer for Teacher Tasks
- # of Leadership Positions Held
- College Teaching Experience
PLUS... from the data/participants in this survey, Teaching Experience does NOT seem to matter when it comes to Overall Technology Integration or Teacher Leadership Practices.
Fascinating... eh?!?!?
More to come...

Survey Complete :: Thank You!!!
A big thank you to the 390+ respondents to my online survey!!! Right before or during winter break! Wow!!!
Each participating school district had at least 39 participants, all the way up to 113! So I have plenty of data to comb through in the coming weeks.
In related "good news"... 2 teachers were randomly chosen from the "Early Bird" entries (competed survey by Monday, Dec. 19th/20th for one district) and received a gift certificate for $50 from Amazon.com. The winners were Hans G. from BGCS and an elementary teacher from Perrysburg. The random drawing for the ten $20 certificates will be held this week and 'selectees' will be notified via the email they submitted on the secondary form.
Thanks again to everyone who helped out and participated in the survey. From initial help in editing and piloting the survey, there are well over 400 people I could thank (and do!).
Now back to my data! ;-)

Happy Holidays and Thanks for Your Participation!
So far, as of December 27th, there are over 340 completed surveys for this study. I'm excited to have over 300 for this time of year (thank you, thank you, thank you!!!), but more is always a good thing when it comes to survey data.
There are still 4 more days left to take the survey, so remind your colleagues to join the "fun" (or at least be a part of knowledge advancement)! The last reminder email went out to district contacts today, so check your InBox for the link.
One other update... the 2 winners of the $50 "Early Bird" entries were notified today via email. They were randomly chosen from those who completed the survey by Dec 19th and entered their email on the separate Google form. There will be ANOTHER opportunity to be rewarded for your participation/efforts... in early January, 10 more people will be randomly selected to receive a $20 Amazon gift certificate (and will be contacted via the email submitted).
Watch for more updates in January about the data, the analysis, and the lucky winners!

Survey is Ready & Approved!
Beginning December 12th, participating schools will be sending out my survey invitation. As the data comes in and is later analyzed, I will occasionally use this blog to post general results along the way (without naming specific schools or individual responses).
